Privacy Notice
Draft for launch — have your legal/privacy adviser review before publishing.
Register Business Canada collects information you submit to assess, process and support business incorporation and registration requests. Depending on the service, this may include contact information, residential and business addresses, director/shareholder information, business details and government-issued photo identification.
How information is used
Information may be used to verify identity, prepare incorporation documents, communicate with you, coordinate filings, request selected CRA program accounts, create agreed digital corporate records, arrange an accountant consultation and provide related services you request.
Service providers
Information may be shared only as needed with applicable registries, government bodies, licensed legal professionals, accounting professionals, technology/hosting providers and other service providers involved in your request. We do not sell applicant information.
Photo identification
Do not upload a SIN card. Photo ID uploads are intended only for identity verification and processing needs. The website is configured to store uploaded IDs away from public web pages where the hosting environment permits. Access should be restricted to authorized staff.

If you accept a complimentary Google Drive record folder, corporate records may be stored using Google services. You can choose not to use the complimentary storage option.
Retention and access
Personal information should be retained only as long as reasonably required for the service, legal obligations, professional record requirements and dispute prevention. Contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion where applicable.
